Maybe today the former leader of PSD, Liviu Dragnea, wouldn’t have been imprisoned if some people had not convinced Romanian prosecutors to investigate a case of human trafficking in Teleorman county. Few people know that before discovering the two cases of illegal hirings in the Child’s Protection Department, the institution was under investigation after the former director, Floarea Alesu, was accused of asking for money, jewelry and whiskey bottles in return for skipping the legal procedures to place children with adoptive families.
